Two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of joining the Boston Food Bloggers on an Oydssey Twilight Dinner Cruise of Boston Harbor .
Here was our table. I hadn’t met any of them before, so it was great to get to know new bloggers!!
We were able to board at 5pm and left promptly at 6pm. Our cruise was from 6 to 9, and enjoyed every minute of it. The service was excellent and Drew was our guy. He made sure that we had everything that we needed! We were offered a glass of champagne when we sat down.
Our group had VIP seats, so we had a full open bar. We also had a salad, choice of main course and also dessert. We also had a live band and vocalist, along with a dance floor.
Here was the salad.
It was a mixed greens salad with strawberries, apples, caramelized pecans, crumbled bleu cheese in a raspberry vinaigrette. I love fruit, cheese, and nuts on my salad, so I loved it!
I have been wanting to try this cocktail made with St. Germain, it was strong and fruity. And it was just beautiful with the orchid. It was a popular drink with the ladies at our table. It was Grey goose vodka, St Germain, and champagne.
I ordered the Orange-Ginger Glazed Salmon. It was a pan-seared fresh Salmon Fillet marinated with Ginger, Orange and White Wine served over Green Tea-infused Cous Cous, with a crisp Asian Vegetable Cake. I couldn’t taste the green tea, but it was a great meal and wasn’t too heavy but was filling. The vegetable cake had potatoes and carrots from what I could tell.
The chicken dish: Maple-Glazed Chipotle Chicken Pan-roasted smoked Chicken Breast, served with a Vegetable Ratatouille and roasted Yukon Gold Potatoes, topped with a Chipotle Tomato Cream

The beef dish: Mushroom Braised Short Ribs- Braised Beef Short Ribs marinated in a Shallot and Wild Mushroom Gravy, served with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and crispy Onion Straws

A peak outside between dinner and dessert
Our dining friends- Leah from Pearls and Oysters and her husband:
The Boston Skyline as we left the harbor

And dessert was served. I got the cheesecake:

Other popular choices were the Red Velvet Cake

And the Chocolate Truffle Torte, a rich two-layer Cake filled with a delicate Chocolate Mousse in a smooth Dark Chocolate Ganache

After dessert, we ventured back out on the deck to see Charlestown.
It was a fabulous evening! Thank you BFB and Odyssey Cruises.
This meal was free but these are my opinions.

That is great that you are able to go to these cool restaurants and this cruise & do not have to pay. What a fabulous evening. Everything looked yummy.
Oh, I loved it – I almost felt like I was right there with you. How wonderful to try new things and make new friends. Hugs
WOW!!! This cruise was FANTASTIC!!! And the food OH MY GOODNESS!!!
I personally thought your meal looked the very best, loved your salad and, of course, that’s the very best way to have cheesecake!!! (my favorite in case you couldn’t tell

That red velvet cake is making me hungry… I’ve been to the Odyssey a couple of times and really enjoyed it, glad you guys had a lovely time!
